Introduction

My Eighth grade English teacher used to always tell me to start a story at the beginning.

So how did a kid who hated to write book reports end up owning – or running – more than 15 blog sites (and counting)?

Back in June 2007 a colleague (who later became a good friend) suggested I pick up Dan Kennedy’s “The Ultimate Sales Letter.” I doubt he knew at the time what an adventure his well-meaning recommendation and book would send me on.

The problem I faced, the problem many business owners still face, is ultimately one of marketing.

Of not knowing when and where your next customer or client is coming from. Of not knowing what to do to grow the business and make more money for yourself and your family.

It’s a problem that can keep you up late into the night.

There is, however, a solution.

During the course of this exercise – book – series of blog entries – I will discuss how a blog, when used effectively, can market your goods or services better than any other vehicle available to you today.

In other words, despite what you may have heard or the misconceptions you might have with the words “blog” or “blogging” you really can grow your business and make money.

It’s not easy.

But it’s sure as hell a lot of fun once you know what to do… and how to do it.

How does that sound?
